Modified VG-40 Bitumen (VG-40M) is a performance-enhanced version of VG-grade bitumen, developed to meet the demanding requirements of modern highways. It conforms to IS: 73:2013 and is ideal for DBM (Dense Bituminous Macadam) and BC (Bituminous Concrete) layers.
With a higher absolute viscosity at 60°C as per IS 1206 (Part-2), VG-40M addresses challenges such as rutting and deformation in high-temperature zones and under heavy traffic loads.
